In this 2 hour workshop, you'll play with the alcohol-based inks, exploring their behaviour on synthetic paper through pouring, painting, and spraying techniques. We will then dive in to creating a captivating candleholder by painting on translucent paper, which will sit outside the glass candleholder. Bring your own clear glass container,* or I will provide one that I thrifted.
NO PREVIOUS PAINTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You’ll learn that the possibilities of painting, then reactivating the inks is endless. You could end up in a meditative state as you play and play.
All materials supplied, including synthetic papers, aprons, gloves, brushes, spritz bottles, markers and more.
*For this workshop, the maximum height will be 6”, owing to the available paper size.

In this 2 hour workshop, you'll dive into the mesmerizing world of alcohol-based inks, exploring their behaviour on synthetic paper through pouring, painting, and spraying techniques. You’ll be guided to understand the quirky nature of the inks.
You’ll learn how they dry, how they blend and pool, and how you can reactivate inks with markers, tools or alcohol. The nature of these inks lends itself to continuous playtime. You’ll learn that the possibilities of painting, then reactivating the inks is endless. You could end up in a meditative state as you play and play.
