As I meander through my garden, I gather flowers that are about to bloom, and get home and photograph them. I do that so they are in ideal form when inspiration and motivation to paint them arrives. These blooms will never wither or fade. The mosaic vase, as all my vases are, is from my imagination, combining elements from textures and surfaces I see around me. I tinker with the vases far more than the blooms, actually!
