19” x 13” Limited Edition Poster

Printed on bright white paper. The intricate, paperlike pleats as summer poppies unfold is one of my favourite things. The linear, delicate, flexible and translucent petals enthrall me. In this work, I loosely painted the flower shapes, but then worked to showcase the petals' wrinkles by removing some ink. A messy, jumbled garden is my favourite sort of garden and I feel I captured that vibe here. I hope you agree.

 In response to multiple requests, I've determined to turn a few of my alcohol ink originals into a limited edition of 50.

On matte paper, this is ready to frame or hang as is, with its white border.
